Eric Hymander

Sgt. Eric Hymander is an RCMP leader with more than 18 years' experience conducting complex technical investigations combatting organized criminal activity, including cybercrime. He currently oversees specialized investigative and technical teams focused on major frauds, digital thefts, and the disruption of sophisticated transnational and nation-state threat actors. Throughout his career, he has held senior investigative roles across technical operations, organized crime, weapons enforcement, and cybercrime-enabled national security investigations, and is recognized by Canadian courts as an expert witness in Data Analysis and Interpretation. Prior to joining the RCMP, he worked in banking operations and technology leadership and taught computer science at the college level.
